Sefa helps impact-led organisations do more good through expert, tailored advisory services and responsible finance solutions. Since 2011, we've walked side by side with our clients, providing them with the support, confidence and capital they need to grow their impact.

We ask bold questions, challenge old thinking and back the organisations working hard to build a fairer future. Our values – Togetherness, Integrity, Champion and Innovation – are woven through everything we do. We care deeply about the work we do and the people we do it with.

As a team, we’re all about doing good and having a good time doing it! We’re a diverse group of avid tea drinkers and coffee connoisseurs with a strong case of wanderlust. You’ll find us in deep and meaningful conversations, always learning from each other. We balance our weekly team gatherings with a healthy love of chocolate – and we’re not afraid to stand out. Look for the splash of colour and you’ll find us!

Above all, we know the work that goes into creating real impact, and we’re united in backing those bold enough to build it, now and into the future.

We’re looking for a Social Finance Relationship Manager to help strengthen our lending portfolio, deepen relationships across the sector, and unlock more capital for impact-led organisations.

About the role

As Social Finance Relationship Manager, you’ll play a central role in Sefa’s lending work – from building a diverse investment pipeline, to leading due diligence and structuring loan solutions, to supporting organisations post-investment.

In practice, that means you will:

  • Assess and structure investments – conduct detailed financial and impact analysis, design tailored loan solutions, and prepare proposals for our Investment Committee.

  • Guide deals from start to finish – lead due diligence, oversee documentation, and support smooth loan disbursement alongside external partners.

  • Nurture our portfolio – monitor loans, check covenants, prepare reviews, and work with borrowers to help them thrive.

  • Build partnerships – develop relationships with co-investors, philanthropies, governments and impact investors, collaborating on blended finance and co-investment opportunities.

  • Shape the market – contribute to investment readiness and capital structuring support for impact-led organisations, helping them access the finance they need to grow.

About you

You’re energised by the potential of finance as a tool for good. You combine strong analytical skills with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships. You’re comfortable navigating the details of financial models and credit analysis, but also enjoy stepping back to see the bigger picture of how capital can drive social change.

You’ll thrive if you:

  • Have experience in financial or credit analysis, investment assessments or lending, ideally with small-to-medium organisations.

  • Understand how to set clients up for success while managing risk.

  • Are skilled at preparing clear, compelling investment proposals.

  • Enjoy working directly with clients and partners to problem-solve and structure solutions.

  • Bring patience, resilience and curiosity to a sector that’s evolving quickly.

This is a unique opportunity to join a passionate team at the intersection of finance and impact, helping scale ideas and initiatives that shift the dial on equity and inclusion in Australia.

Why join us?

  • Be part of a passionate, values-driven team dedicated to creating social impact.

  • Flexible work options, including hybrid working arrangements at our stunning Yirranma Place office in Darlinghurst.

  • Shape and contribute to initiatives that are directly tackling systemic barriers in the for-purpose ecosystem.

  • Access to professional development and networking opportunities.

  • A supportive and inclusive workplace where your ideas are valued.
