Sefa Partnerships update: Regional coaching pilot kicks off

Sefa Partnerships is proud to be part of the Leeton not-for-profit coaching pilot sponsored by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR). We are working with two key community organisations – the Rotary Club of Leeton and the Leeton Op Shop, taking them through a tailored program of workshops and coaching, to help build capacity across the organisations, further strengthen their resilience, and realise their ambitions for the community.

The program will run in three phases from January 2021 for 8 - 12 months. It is a mixture of small group workshops and one-on-one coaching. As well as working with the two organisations, we are supporting a local facilitator to upskill for the future delivery of the program, with a second cohort of organisations.

The program has kicked off with the first workshop on ‘communicating impact’, leading the organisations through the creation of a Theory of Change.

Hannah Miller, Sefa Partnerships Head of Programs, reflects that the strength and resilience of these organisations was already on full display in the workshop: “The commitment and deep care for place and community was evident. It was a delight to work with these organisations and people (Kim, Tom, Brady, Nicholas, Carmel and Dan), to take their implicit knowledge and develop a tool they can use both internally and externally to tell their stories, and invite others into their shared ambitions for the future. With organisations and individuals like these I am excited for the future of this great Riverina town.”

Sefa Partnerships are back in Leeton on 17 April for the next step of the program, turning an eye to strategy and resourcing changemaking.
