The Weekender - Winter 2022

Welcome our Sefa recruit Lucy in the role of Team Assistant! Let’s find out what she likes to do on the weekend.

To get the weekend started Lucy gets out and makes the most of the morning.

Usually I am up early, walking around Centennial Park with a podcast playing or making my way to my favourite coffee shop.

Breakfast and coffee are essential.

My hunt for a well-brewed Almond Flat white commences every weekend morning, sometimes coupled with a breakfast at Bills or a smashed avocado with eggs at home.

But back to work!

The weekends end up being a time where I can catch up on Uni work after a busy week, or to work on looming assessments.

Lucy’s weekend workouts

I really enjoy walking, running and going to the local gym with my housemates. We book into all kinds of classes (from Pilates to Salsa dancing) and get our sweat on!

Time to explore

Living in a bigger city like Sydney means there’s so much to do! I love going to the art gallery, going shopping with friends or heading down to the beach.

Her death-row meal

I’m obsessed with Japanese food, making Teriyaki salmon with rice, salad, seaweed and kewpie mayo at least a couple of times a week.

In the evenings…

I really enjoy exploring the numerous restaurants, wine bars and pubs in my local area. The suburbs are much more dense than my hometown of Perth and I really enjoy being able to walk there and home!
