The Weekender - Spring 2021

Welcome to our new Sefa recruit Lise in the role of Engagement Manager! Let’s find out what she likes to do on the weekend.

Lise prefers a gentle start to the weekend.

I like to have a slow start one day of the weekend – long brekkie and time in the garden.

She likes a classic breakfast with a twist.

My favourite is smashed avocado and fetta on toast. I’m allergic to eggs so I don’t go for the traditional Aussie brekkie.

Lise keeps herself informed.

SMH spread all over the table and online version of The Economist.

To get the blood pumping she will take her walks to that extra level.

I am so looking forward to being able to do day hikes again – Royal National Park is wonderful – amazing views, beautiful beaches and some steep hills!

Being that active, lunch is done quickly.

It’s usually grab and go – in between other activities. I’m not really a café person – even though I live in the Inner West (haha).

When back home, her pantry essentials reflect her local area.

Coffee and tomatoes (from Haberfield). Olive oil, onions and garlic. Being half Italian I seem to start cooking every meal with these essentials.

Ginger and coriander. Chocolate! Cheese! Limes (for gin and tonics!) And lots of baking supplies – our daughter bakes for friends and us every weekend.

For the evening her ideal dinner menu sticks to what she knows best.

My family would say chicken – they think I’m obsessed with it.

Right now I’m relishing the thought of returning to local wine bars and favourite restaurants (Italian, Vietnamese and Thai). Woohoo!

When she gets back into the office, will she lay out her look for Monday?

I don’t typically, but I will think about it. I might have to iron something (shock, horror!)
