Welcome to Sefa’s first EmpowerHER Program

An opportunity to transform your purpose-led business into a thriving, impactful enterprise. For regional visionaries like you, growing a social enterprise may feel daunting (and expensive). But this fully-funded program can give you the skills, networks and support, to scale your impact and achieve sustainable growth.

Overview

 The Sefa EmpowerHER Program, commissioned by the NSW Government’s Office of Social Impact Investment, is your opportunity to receive tailored capability building support. Our mission? To enhance your social enterprise's ability to deliver impactful outcomes for women facing disadvantage.  

 

Two Distinct Programs 

These programs are for purpose-led enterprises seeking better outcomes for women facing disadvantage. Priority will be given to:   

  • First Nations enterprises   

  • Women led social enterprises   

  • Social enterprises in regional/remote locations 

You can be operating in various sectors including (but not limited to): 

  • Employment/pathways to employment   

  • Job readiness/entrepreneurship support  

  • Education/training  

  • Products/services 

Program 1: EmpowerHER Regional Program: Activating Change Makers 

If you're in the early stages of your social enterprise journey (i.e. traded for between 3 months and 2 years), the EmpowerHER Early Stage Hubs are your launchpad to success. There will be two EmpowerHer Early Stage Hubs - in regional NSW that will offer experiences tailored for for purpose-led enterprises seeking better outcomes for women facing disadvantage.

This includes:

  • Invaluable Learning: Learn the art of growing and sustaining your social enterprise's impact. 

  • Networking Opportunities: Build connections with like-minded change-makers. 

  • Exclusive Support: Unlock six months of dedicated, tailor-made support for your business. 

This program will be delivered through two hubs in regional NSW.

Program 2: EmpowerHER Program: Strengthening Change Makers 

If you have a great mission and strong foundations, have been operating for 2 years or more - but you want to reach the next level? This is your opportunity to join the EmpowerHER Program: Strengthening Change Makers. This is for established social enterprises (traded commercially for at least 2 years) who need help in specific areas.  

This includes: 

  • Personalised Impact Strategy: Tailored guidance to enhance your social enterprise's impact strategy. 

  • Enhanced Organisational Resilience: Strengthen your organisation's capacity to thrive.

  • Investment Readiness Insights: Expert insights and guidance to prepare your enterprise for investment opportunities. 

  • Strategic Financing Pathways: Discover and navigate the right financing pathways for your enterprise's growth.
